Undergraduate Research & Assistantships: Reach out directly if you are interested in assisting with economic inequality, applied microeconomics, or sports analytics research.
Dolar's Philosophy is... Economics isn't just an abstract discipline—it’s something you live. Much like training for a sport, mastering it demands patience, deliberate practice, and genuine curiosity rather than immediate perfection. At Pace, faculty are here to mentor you, not just lecture. Treat your undergraduate journey as an apprenticeship: reach out early, ask questions, explore our research, and never hesitate to enter the conversation.
Outside the Classroom
Professor Dolar originally studied political science and economics because she loved writing, debating, and persuading. That perspective shifted after failing an economics writing assignment; the experience taught her the power of data-driven analysis over rhetoric, leading her to fall in love with empirical research. Today, her work focuses on economic inequality and social mobility, examining how society can ensure individuals advance based on merit and knowledge rather than background or connections.
